are delighted to announce that, after some disruption, the trail is
now fully open again.
The closures at the end of March were due to some urgent repairs being
carried out. This work has been completed over a shorter period than
expected and this was due to the good weather and the good will of
the public taking alternative routes allowing the contractor to get
on with the job. I thank you for your patience over the last 3 weeks
and hope you enjoy the trail over the summer months.
As you can imagine the trail has become very popular for sponsored
walks etc. This is something we have got to manage very carefully
as we do not want to take away the enjoyment of the many people that
come to Loch Leven to enjoy the scenery and wildlife around them.
Saying that , it is also ideal for some friends to get together and
raise some much needed funds for their chosen charity. If you are
intending to hold such an event can l ask that you get in touch with
SNH or Perth and Kinross Council to seek permission to hold the event.
The reason for asking you to do so is so we can hold a diary with
all events registered in it and we don't have two such events on the
same day. This will add to your enjoyment as well as the access takers

l ask you to respect other users on the trail whether you are a
walker, runner, cyclist or dog walker and remember the trail is
for all to enjoy being out in the countryside taking in the scenery
and wild life around you.
I hope you enjoy the experience and look forward to seeing you back
